On November 25, a delegation of representatives from Holy Trinity Theological University in Addis Ababa, the main spiritual school of the Ethiopian Church, visited the capital's Central Clinical Hospital of St. Alexis, Metropolitan of Moscow. Archimandrite Hailegabriel Girma, vice-rector of the university, and Archimandrite Gebrehanna Gebretsadik, dean of the university's distance education faculty, arrived in Russia to participate in the next round of talks on the development of academic cooperation between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Ethiopian Church. As part of the trip, representatives of Holy Trinity University familiarized themselves with the activities of St. Alexis Church Hospital.
«The colleagues paid special attention to the palliative department, where they had very touching conversations with patients. During the meeting we agreed that there are many similarities in the history of our states and churches. We agreed to cooperate and received an invitation to visit a church hospital in Ethiopia» — said the chief physician and director of St. Alexis Hospital Alexei Zarov.

Saint Alexis Hospital — a medical institution of the Russian Orthodox Church, a multidisciplinary medical institution for 290 beds. The hospital treats people from all regions of Russia outside the depending on religion. Branches have been opened in Ivanovo, Moscow and Yaroslavl regions. A licensed Nursing Assistant Training Center is in operation. The hospital is one of the main centers in Russia for the training of nurses in nursing and for the development of Sisterhoods of Mercy. Since the spring of 2022, St. Alexis Hospital has been providing medical and social care to the injured and wounded. In 2023, the hospital celebrated its 120th anniversary.
