On November 2, 2024, during a visit to India, the chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, met with local Christian youth on the sidelines of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church's convention of the Mar Gregory Student Movement.

The movement was founded in 1907 and is one of the largest Christian youth platforms in Asia.
Mr. Anthony addressed the young people present with a farewell address.
