On December 4, 2024, on the feast of the Entrance of Our Most Holy Lady, the Theotokos, and Our Lady Mary, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, the opening of the Orthodox book exhibition and forum «Joy of the Word» in Vologda took place.
A Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Resurrection Cathedral of Vologda, which was led by the chairman of the Publishing Council of the Russian Orthodox Church Metropolitan Kliment of Kaluga and Borovsk, accompanied by Metropolitan Savva of Vologda and Kirillovsk, Bishop Photii of Velikoustyuga and Totem, and Bishop Ignatii of Cherepovets and Belozersk. The bishops were served by Archpriest Andrei Smirnov, rector of the Vologda Cathedral of the Resurrection; Archpriest Alexei Olkhovnikov, rector of the Vologda Theological Seminary; Priest Andrei Stepanov, leading specialist of the Publishing Council; and clerics of the Vologda Diocese.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition-forum «The Joy of the Word» took place in the Joseph Building of the Vologda Kremlin. Metropolitan Kliment of Kaluga and Borovsk, Metropolitan Savva of Vologda and Kirillov, Governor of the Vologda region G.Y. Filimonov addressed the guests and participants of the event with welcoming words.
Afterwards there was a festive concert, at which the soloist of the vocal-choral ensemble «Istoki» Vologda Eparchy, laureate of international and all-Russian competitions Yegor Belobrov, the vocal-choral ensemble «Istoki» of the Vologda Eparchy and the chamber choir of Vologda «L.I.K.» performed.
Afterwards there was a festive concert.
At the end, the head of the Publishing Council held a presentation of new books by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, published by the Publishing House of the Moscow Patriarchate.

After the presentation, the guests of honor toured the book exposition prepared by the Publishing Council. A tour of the exhibition was conducted by the curator of the exhibition-forum «Joy of the Word» Priest Andrei Stepanov.
