A working meeting between the chairman of the Synodal Department for Cooperation with the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies Metropolitan Kirill of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk and the chairman of the IPPO and the Charitable Foundation «Christian Charity» Sergei Stepashin took place within the historic walls of the residence of the Imperatorial Orthodox Palestinian Society.
In the framework of cooperation, which has been actively developing for six months, the parties discussed in detail current issues related to the needs of the military clergy.
In the framework of cooperation, which has been actively developing for half a year, the parties discussed in detail topical issues related to the provision of the needs of the military clergy. Charitable Foundation «Christian Mercy» for about half a year provides active assistance to military clergy serving in the zone of special military operation. This meeting became the basis for discussion of further development of this important cooperation.
Metropolitan Kirill expressed gratitude to the Charitable Foundation «Christian Charity» and personally to Sergei Vadimovich for active participation in this noble mission, noting the significant contribution of the Foundation to the support of the synodal department.
At the end of the meeting Metropolitan Kirill was presented with a valuable gift — a reliquary with particles of the relics of the holy soldiers of Christ: St. George the Victorious, St. Theodore Stratilat, St. Theodore of Tyrone, St. Demetrius of Solunsk and others. This gift emphasized the deep spiritual connection and commonality of goals that unite the synodal department and the charitable foundation in their joint service to the Fatherland.
