On December 5, 2024, Minsk hosted a round table on the theme «The role of theater and cinema in the formation of spiritual and moral values of society». Its work was preceded by the signing of Cooperation Agreements between the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation and the Belarusian Union of Cinematographers, as well as the Belarusian Union of Theater Workers.
The event was attended by: Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus;Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl Veniamin; Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Ruslan Chernetsky; Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo office in the Republic of Belarus Yuri Makushin; Chairman of the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Vladimir Mashkov; representatives of the state authorities, cultural community, clergymen.

Metropolitan Veniamin said: «Real, deep in their content, highly moral films and theatrical productions make us empathize with the heroes, help us to become more human, allow us to look deeper into our souls. In fact, to the extent that we are kind to our neighbor, to the extent that we are able to treat him with attention and participation, so we become and are close to God. Therefore, true art makes people higher, better and closer to each other, reminding of the Christian ideal of sobornosti in love for God and neighbor.
The Patriarchal Exarch also noted the already existing positive examples of cooperation between cultural figures and the Orthodox Church. One such example is the appearance in the city of Minsk musical theater production «Guryanov», which tells the audience about the ministry of the elder Nicholas Guryanov. This year for the event of bringing the holy relics of the venerable wives Euphrosyne of Polotsk and Euphrosyne of Moscow to Russia and Belarus television channel «Spas» with the support of Belarusian Orthodox Church was made a film «Two Euphrosyne». Also this year, the result of joint efforts of Belteleradiocompany and the Belarusian Orthodox Church was a documentary film «For the flock and the Fatherland» telling about the ministry of priests during the Great Patriotic War.
