In the course of the current meeting, members of the commission adopted «Recommendations of the Synodal Commission on Bioethics on issues related to the Communion of Holy Mysteries by persons suffering from celiac disease, pseudo-celiac disease and gluten wheat allergy. .
The text of the document was the result of interaction between medical professionals, clergy and theologians in an attempt to conceptualize the bioethical and pastoral problem at hand.
