Lublin: general meeting of the diocesan BMP

With the blessing of His Excellency Archbishop Abel, Ordinary of the Diocese of Lublin-Chelm, the General Meeting of the Orthodox Youth Fellowship of the Diocese of Lublin-Chelm was held on November 9
.
The process began with a thanksgiving prayer service led by Archbishop Abel in the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Savior in Lublin.


After prayer and breakfast, the general meeting began. At the beginning, Archbishop Abel spoke, welcomed the youth and invited guests from the Central Board of the BMP in Poland, headed by Chairman Gabriela Nowaszewska. His Excellency emphasized the importance of youth in the life of the local Church and wished the meeting a successful one. Then Fr. Marcin Goszczyk, guardian of the diocesan fraternity, thanked the hierarch for his constant support of the youth, for his work and involvement of the youth in projects organized by the fraternity, including: pilgrimages, rallies, humanitarian aid and many other events held under the banners of the BMP.


The next item on the program was the reading of the Diocesan BMP Activity Report for the year 2023/2024.


The day also saw the by-election of the BMP Board of the Diocese of Lublin-Chelm. After the elections the composition of the board is as follows: chairwoman Daria Waszczuk, board members: Piotr Tarasiuk, Paulina Rudzka, Michal Kochan, Jakub Los, Klaudia Semeniuk and Lukasz Panasiuk. A heartfelt thank you was extended to outgoing board members Rafal Kostiuchuk and Natalia Grigoruk.

The event ended with a joint dinner and photos as a souvenir.
